Nonlinear modulation with low-power sensor networks using undersampling

چکیده
Nonlinear modulation is a promising technique for ultrasonic non-destructive damage identification. A wireless sensor network ideally suited to monitor large structures using nonlinear in cost-efficient manner. However, existing approaches rely on high sampling rates and resource-demanding computations that are not feasible low-cost low-power devices. We present new indicator uses the short-time Fourier transform derive amplitude phase with less computational effort memory usage. Evaluation of proposed method real experiment data exhibits performance reliability similar conventionally used index. Undersampling demonstrated, which reduces demand test scenario by more than 100 times, required energy processing four times. The loss accuracy introduced undersampling shown be negligible.

In this paper, a new hybrid routing protocol is presented for low power Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The new system uses an integrated piezoelectric energy harvester to increase the network lifetime. Power dissipation is one of the most important factors affecting lifetime of a WSN. An innovative cluster head selection technique using Cuckoo optimization algorithm has been used in the desig...

Low-Power Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless distributed microsensor systems will enable fault tolerant monitoring and control of a variety of applications. Due to the large number of microsensor nodes that may be deployed and the long required system lifetimes, replacing the battery is not an option. Sensor systems must utilize the minimal possible energy while operating over a wide range of operating scenarios. This paper prese...
